What is it?

This document allows the tenant to assign the tenancy agreement to another person such that all the terms and conditions of the original agreement are binding upon the landlord and the new tenant. It is only recommended for longer term lets. When the tenancy agreement is only for a short period of time, as with most Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements, it makes more sense to simply terminate the old agreement and commence a new one.
