Powers of Attorney

• General Power of Attorney: £40.00
  Used to grant another person the authority to manage your personal and/or business affairs. Frequently used for a set period of time, such as when you are going away but need your affairs to be looked after.
• Lasting Power of Attorney: £200.00
  Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA’s) have replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA’s) and allow a person “the Donor”, to appoint an “Attorney”, or “Attorneys” usually friends or family, to act on their behalf. They are much more versatile than a General Power of Attorney and can be made to last for the donor’s lifetime.
• Register Lasting Power of Attorney: £200.00
  Lasting Powers of Attorney can not be legally used unless and until they have been registered with the Office of the Public Guardian.
• Register Enduring Power of Attorney: £200.00
  Lasting Powers of Attorney replaced the Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA) on 1 October 2007. However, a person given power under an EPA before 1 October 2007 can still use it and apply to have it registered.
